poem for brian: fluoresence The hopes and dreams of one who is lost
Stay tucked away at the bottom of the shelf
Deemed innapropriate to consider
As better reading than the children's books
That sit at eye level.

The spines are broken in places
Amidst the titles splitting words in half
But they all can be read by the
Fluoresence that spreads from above
In shadow shattering brilliance.

It exposes the gaps between each
Cover and page that belong together
But dust settled in the cracks and
Now we wait for hands to work out
The correct order and mend the frays,

And maybe just expose the hopes and
Dreams of one who is lost to the

Shitty Lake They start their fires with maps beneath the stars
Give indiscriminately what they can, without reserve,
For what need have they for reservations?
Save those they have for each other.
Full-fledged sentiments are thriving in the air
Double-pierced pleasure juxtaposes awkward poses
Flames rising up between arms and legs and nerves
Until they "sink into oblivion..."
Of a gray and silver getaway vehicle
Not feeling the asphalt fly beneath their feet
Just music and tail lights and voices together
Pleased with all that's been said
Until they are back and undecided again
Not wanting to part, but maybe to bed
Where they'll join up in drShitty Lake by ~SpiralArchitect
Hallowed Grounds I used to be Lutheran until one Sunday
when they installed a starbucks across the street.

Wandering from stained glass windows to neon lights,
I found a green and white goddess whose last supper
blessed a communion of espresso shots and bagels

The high-priest Barista didn't read from a book or scroll
but simply asked me, "Would you like that grande or tall?"

An instant conversion! Feeling the spirirt within me
my heart beat faster- my hands began to shake- BLISS

At dawn i meet a new mass there, the congregation
coming down in lines from the altar counter-top.
We offer tips to her holiness and she blesses us
with free wi-fHallowed Grounds by ~SpiralArchitect

Eventually, i'll bring together a portfolio that i'm proud of and begin a rather huge overhaul of my deviantart site.  Until that day, i'm just making art. drawing and writing when I can. oh, that reminds me, I could post one thing.
